Salisbury Township’s Park Program is back
Editor’s Note: The movie date listed in the June 15 edition of The Press has been corrected.
The Salisbury Township playground program is back. After a two year hiatus because of COVID-19, the park program is happening this year.
The program runs 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday evenings through July 22 at Laubach Park and Lindberg Park. Please note: The program will not be held at Green Acres and Devonshire parks this year.
Each child needs a completed registration form before attending. Forms are available at the township municipal building and were handed out at school (so search through that backpack your student brought home on the last day filled with everything they dumped out of their desk). There will also be forms at the parks.
Arts and crafts events will be held 10 a.m. Tuesdays at Lindberg Park and 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Laubach Park.
The first movie night of the summer will be a showing of “Encanto” at Lindberg Park 7:30 p.m. June 22.
I hear there are going to be some great counselors there this year. Come check it out.
There will be a school board meeting 7:30 p.m. June 15 at the administration building.
Don’t forget about Food Truck Thursdays at the South Mall beginning 4 p.m. Some trucks included are: Atomic Hogs, Greek Street, Grumpy’s Worldly Q, Island Noodles, Slide on By, The Flying V and Cousins Maine Lobster. The same trucks are not there every week. For a current list each week, visit the South Mall Facebook page every Thursday.
Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are now open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be open June 16, 18 and 27. The Devonshire site will be open June 20, 23 and 25. For a complete listing of acceptable items, visit the township website under the heading “Refuse and Recycling.”
