State Rep. Milou Mackenzie, R-131st, announced the awarding of $25,458 in state funding for the reconstruction of South Second Street in Emmaus Borough.
“I’m happy I was able to advocate on behalf of Emmaus Borough for this grant,” Mackenzie said. “This project will go a long way toward improving public safety in the borough.”
The grant was approved last week by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, which was established as an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
Local Share Account grants are funded through local gaming revenue, not taxpayer dollars.
