Donald “Duckie” R. Lafaw, 84, of Catasauqua, died June 11, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Laudenslager) Lafaw for 63 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Howard C. and Mamie (Reinert) Lafaw.

He was a meat cutter for 40 years for various Lehigh Valley businesses including Acme, Food Fair, Pantry Pride and Burke Provisions.

He was a longtime member of the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Catasauqua. He was most recently a member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church of Catasauqua.

He was a Scout master for Boy Scout Troop 94. He assisted more than 40 Scouts in achieving their Eagle Scout rank.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald A. and wife Sheri and Ronald and wife Jill; three granddaughters, Laura Lafaw and husband Jonathan Schmauch, Katie Lafaw and Megan Lafaw; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence; and two sisters, Virginia and Geraldine.

There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service, June 17 at the church, 604 Fourth St., Catasauqua, 18032. The family requests all attending wear a face mask.
