It’s that time of year again - the summer 2022 swim season is upon us. Two Whitehall Township pools and the Coplay Borough pool will open for the season this weekend.
Whitehall pools will open June 18 and 19, and Coplay’s Parkway Pool will be opening June 18.
Due to a lack of lifeguards, Whitehall pools will operate on rotation. Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St., Hokendauqua, is planned to be open noon-7 p.m. Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the Cementon Pool, 5185 Dewey St., will be open noon-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Cementon location will be closed the week of the Cement Belt Fair, June 27-July 2.
The Jefferson Street Pool in Fullerton will remain closed until further notice.
Pool passes were on sale in May. If you did not purchase a pass but would still like to, they will be on sale again June 19 at Parkview Pool.
Passes are for Whitehall residents only, and proof of ID is required.
Costs for passes and general admission are as follows.
• Resident family pass: $150 for two adults and two children (additional child: $25)
• Resident adult season pass: $60
• Resident student pass (up to and including 2022 high school graduates): $50
Cash or checks, made out to Whitehall Township, are accepted. General admission is $8 per resident. Children under 6 years old and seniors 62 and older are free. Proof of ID is required.
“At any time, the pools are subject to close due to inclement weather,” according to the township website.
