Have fun doing crafts or playing games and help to keep kids with special needs stay safe at the exciting summer camp at Camelot for Children in Allentown. Volunteer Buddies are needed for one day or as often as you can, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., June 20 - July 29. Teen buddies, adults, and medical personnel needed. Volunteer on the construction site in Allentown with Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley – work is weather dependent and labor intensive. Volunteer Drivers are needed to take elderly or disabled people grocery shopping and/or for medical appointments. Mileage reimbursement available and excess automobile insurance provided by ShareCare Faith in Action. Must submit to a criminal background check and attend an orientation training. YLEAD is a leadership and service program for Lehigh Valley high school students (entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall) hosted by Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Participants in the program develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects.
