Janet L. (Bailey) Reimert-German, 87, of Macungie, formerly of Slatedale, died peacefully June 4, 2022, at Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. She was the wife of the late Elwood K. German, who died in 2014 and the late Harold F.Q. Reimert, who died in 1981. Born in Lynn Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Naomi (Long) Bailey.
She was a 1953 graduate of Slatington High School.
She was a former sexton at Jacob’s Church in New Tripoli for many years. She later became a member of Good Shepherd UCC Church, Slatington.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen J. (Glenn Schlegel), of Mertztown and Kimberly A. (David Reed), of Allentown; sons, Kenneth P. (Patricia) Reimert, of Germansville, Keith R. (Carol) Reimert, of Kutztown and Kevin W. Reimert, of Kempton and his companion, Linda Eroch; stepdaughters, Sheryl (Randy) Rex and Linda (David) Dries, both of Slatington; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Bailey, of Slatington; a brother, John Bailey, of New Tripoli. She was predeceased by siblings, Franklin and Richard Bailey, Christine Kamp, Anna Handwerk and Lucille Hamm.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. June 9 in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with a calling hour to begin 10 a.m.
