The Coplay Public Library summer reading program is here! This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities.” Registration begins June 13.

Join the challenge on the library’s website, coplaypubliclibrary.org. Click on the Reading Challenges link under the Books and More section. Choose Beanstack to sign up.

Beanstack also includes ideas for earning additional points and prizes.

There will be a special storytime with Miss Brenda 11 a.m. June 16.

The summer reading program ends Aug. 13.

The adult book club will meet 6-6:30 p.m. June 29 on Facebook. The theme will align with the summer reading challenge - pirates, shipwrecks or the ocean.

Books can be fiction, nonfiction, e-books or audio books.

Feel free to participate or listen to lively discussion.

If anyone has empty shoe boxes, we are glad to take them off your hands for a craft idea for the summer. You may drop them off at the library during open hours.

We are accepting donations for our October book sale, tentatively set for Oct. 7 and 8.

We can no longer accept textbooks or encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest, magazines, books with writing or with torn or missing pages, anything damaged or VHS tapes.

Do not put donations in or by the book drop or by the doors. Staff members will assist you if needed.

If you are vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask in the library. If you are not vaccinated, continue to wear a mask for your safety and the safety of others.

We also encourage maintaining social distancing to ensure safety.

Curbside service is still available for anyone who does not wish to come into the library.

Current library hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The summer hours will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays. Summer hours start June 20.

The library will return to regular hours Aug. 29.
