Debate team
Our Viking debaters had a great comeback year. Organized by a group of seniors, the team navigated through a shortened schedule, which meant very little practice, to compile five wins and three losses. That was enough to propel our co-captains Andrew LaRock, Joey Duffy, Olivia Tadlock and Justin Khoury into the playoff round. They fed off their own individuality to create a team cohesion that defied logic. The team’s unorthodox style and approach won over the audience. In fact, Olivia Tadlock established a small fan club. Students lined up to speak with her and share social media contacts.
While the “Fab Four” lost in the semifinals, they all deserve to share an MVP trophy. Letter winners: First Year – Leilani Alfaro, Alexander De Gale, Camden Gauthier, John Keba, Sareena Nat, Carter Rodowicz and Sophia Servagno. Second Year – Mabhell Gonzalez. Third Year – Joseph Duffy, Justin Khoury, Ryan Yen and Jacob Zeller. Fourth Year - Andrew LaRock. MVP: Olivia Tadlock. Head Coach: Mr. Anthony Clifford. Great job, Vikes!
