The Parkland School District Education Foundation recognized four high school alumni for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to society May 5 in the library at the high school.
The four inductees are: Joseph Bergstein, Class of 1989 and executive vice president and chief financial officer, PPL Corporation; Erin Bried, Class of 1992 and founder and editor of Kazoo Magazine; Jared Brown, Class of 2014 and community volunteer for Mikayla’s Voice, Miracle League, Canine Companions; Kernsville Elementary, Camelot for Children, Good Shepherd, Veterans’ organizations and countless toy/food drives, and Bryan Knouse, Class of 2009 and co-founder/CEO, Project OWL.
Each recipient’s portrait has been added to the Wall of Honor at the high school.
According to Nicole McGalla, director of Community Relations and Development, “The Wall of Honor was established ten years ago and is located inside the main entrance of Parkland High School. Wall plaques highlight the inductee achievements and include a current photo as well as the inductee’s Parkland senior picture.”
Additionally, each inductee was presented with a certificate of appreciation by a member of the Education Foundation.
Members of the Lehigh Valley branch of the Nam Knights showed their support of Parkland School District Education Foundation 2022 Distinguished Alum inductee Jared Brown. Members include: Jayson Calhoun, John Chaikowsky, Kyle Duser, Scott Deater and Tim Parsons.
Eric Roberts, guidance counselor and Distinguished Alumni recipient, was the moderator for the Education Foundation's 2022 Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor inductee program May 5.
Ron Jacobs, president, Parkland School District Education Foundation, took part in the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor inductee program on May 5.
Parkland School District Education Foundation Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor inductee Jared Brown, Class of 2014, was delighted to be part of the celebration. His mother Jana was also on hand to take part in the celebration.

Bryan Knouse, Class of 2009 and co-founder/CEO, Project OWL, was surprised to find out he was included in the Education Foundation 2022 Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor inductee program.
