Richard D. Haas, 84, of Northampton, died May 24, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Patricia (Follweiler) Haas for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Helko) Haas.

He attended Central Catholic High School.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He worked in maintenance at Lafarge Cement Company for 35 years.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.

He was a member of Petersville Rod and Gun Club, Alliance Fire Company and was a past commander of Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna and her husband Craig Stark and Tricia and her husband Patrick Gallagher; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa; a grandson, Alex; a brother, John; and a sister, Bernadine.

Funeral services are private.
