Jeanette P. Bender, 97, formerly of Allentown, died May 20, 2022, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Bender Sr.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Norman K. and Ella (Peifly) Ott.

Before retiring, she worked as a switchboard operator at Muhlenberg College.

She was a member of the former Hope United Church of Christ, Allentown.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Jr. and his wife Shirley of Nazareth and James D. and his wife Gretchen of Breinigsville; a brother, Thomas Ott and his wife Helene of Allentown; two grandsons, Michael and Marc; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Norman; and a sister, Leanne Ott.

Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. June 17 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown.
