Bath: Farmers market to hold contest June 4

Bath Farmers Market is holding the Little Miss or Mister Strawberry contest June 4 for all ages. Dress up in your strawberry best for a chance to be crowned.

Judging will be held the same day. Voting will be made by all vendors from the market. The winner will get to ride in the Halloween parade.

The market is now open 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will have a craft and vendor show, planned for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 11. Homemade crafts will be available, and the kitchen will be open.

Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive, invites all to its covered dish event in the pavilion 5 p.m. June 12. Niah and Allisha Merrill will have a concert in the sanctuary starting 6:30 p.m.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is seeking Emmanuel’s members who are graduating from high school, technical school, college, university, etc. The congregation would like to include them in its program to honor their accomplishments during the worship services June 12.

Also, women’s Bible study will begin 7 p.m. June 14 at the church. Pastor Paulette will offer an interactive Bible study and discussion, with the first topic on the women of the Bible.
