PRESS PHOTO BY JIM MARSH Firefighters from Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company train on the use of their high capacity aerial ladder truck deluge nozzle and the deck gun of an engine at the Cedar Crest Professional Park May 23. The firefighters drilled their response to a simulated commercial or residential fire that required a large amount of water to be quickly discharged on a blaze. The training included rapid hose attachment to a fire hydrant and a pump relay to fire apparatus that would put a substantial amount of water on the fire from a safe distance.
