Classic features shortbread contest

There will be a Scottish shortbread contest, sponsored by King Arthur Flour, for amateur bakers on September 24 at this year’s Celtic Classic (Sept. 23 through 25), downtown Historic Bethlehem. Entries will be scored on taste, overall appearance, creativity and texture by three judges. There is no entry fee. The top three contestants will be awarded gift certificates in the amounts of $75, $50 and $25 (adults) and a $40 gift certificate, $25 gift certificate and a King Arthur tote bag, respectively (youth under 18).
