Russell H. Wambold Jr., 92, of New Tripoli, died May 23, 2022, in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall.
Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Russell H. and Mae (Bruch) Wambold Sr.
He was a self-employed lawn maintenance person for more than 44 years, until retiring in 2016.
Before that, he was employed at the former Kistler Hatchery, New Tripoli.
He was also a truck driver for PennDOT, and a former night custodian for Northwestern Elementary School.
He was a member of Jerusalem (Red) Church, Kempton.
He was known to love his coffee and was often seen with a coffee mug full of his favorite brew.
His survivors include stepdaughters Charlotte A., wife of Dennis J. Schroeder, of Kutztown, Betty J. Biegley of Bethlehem, and Alice, wife of Raymond Flyte, of Kutztown; brother Harold Wambold of Bangor; one granddaughter; several stepgrandchildren; and several great-step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Glenn A. Wambold and his sister, Erma Frey.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. May 27 in Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with visitation starting 10 a.m. Robert Billig Jr. will officiate. Interment following service in Jerusalem (Red) Church Cemetery, Kempton.
