Kathy D. “Kate” Mitstifer

Kathy Mitstifer, 63, of Schnecksville, died peacefully in her home on May 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was the wife of Richard Mitstifer, to whom she was married 42 years.

Born in Frystown, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Lillian (Daub) Moyer.

A graduate of Tulpehocken High School and the Central Penn Business School, after graduating, she started a career in the medical field, and has worked for several orthopedic practices.

Most recently, she was a dedicated employee of St. Luke’s Orthopedic Care, where she selflessly served patients, surgeons and staff on a daily basis.

She was a member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.

She was an avid reader, gardener, and a great cook. More importantly, she ranks high on the list of the world’s greatest mothers and grandmothers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Gregory and wife Christie, of Hershey; Andrew and wife, Rebecca of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren Gavin, Jonah, and Eve Mitstifer; brother Keith of Thayer, Mo. and sister Donna (Moyer) Naftzinger of Shartlesville.

She was predeceased by a sister, Carol (Moyer) Arnold.

Her funeral service will be 7 p.m. May 26 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville. Calling hours begin 5 p.m. and last until the service begins.

Masks will be required at all times indoors. Interment will be 11 a.m. May 27 at Frystown Cemetery, 50 Rose Alley, Myerstown.
