Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association will hold an open house at Biery House, 8 Race St., Catasauqua, to explore Catasauqua’s history and art gallery 1-4 p.m. the second Sundays of June, July, August and September.

North Catasauqua Recreation Committee has planned an active and fun summertime program.
Events are free to the public, except as noted below. A monetary donation to the nonprofit group dedicated to keeping the local park well maintained is always welcomed.
All events are held at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St.

Band concerts planned include 99 Stringz, 7 p.m. June 22; Amish Outlaws, 7 p.m. July 10, during which food donations for Catasauqua Community Food Bank are requested; The Clap, 7 p.m. Aug. 5; and Steel Creek, 7 p.m. Aug. 24, with a rain date of Aug. 25.
Family night will be held Aug. 17.
The committee asks residents to mark their calendars and come out to support these community events.

Catasauqua and North Catasauqua will celebrate Independence Day with a gala celebration event beginning 11 a.m. July 2 at the North Catasauqua park, ending with fireworks at dusk at the Alumni Field football stadium, 850 Pine St.
Along with the J4 Celebration will be a mega Catasauqua High School reunion.
