Help turn tongues blue for the 35th annual Blueberry Festival on July 16 and 17, hosted by Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. Two shifts per day are available and volunteers get a T-shirt and free piece of pie or ice cream scoop. Spots are also available for set up during the week before and market-to-go/clean up during the week after. Minimum age 16 or 15 with adult. Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab is looking for dedicated volunteers for its Fountain Hill site to escort residents downstairs to the in-house beauty shop. This could be one to three days a week, depending on your preference, on Tuesdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – noon, and Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Minimum age 13. Partner with activities staff to help assemble and serve strawberry shortcakes to residents Thursday, May 26, for Gracedale Nursing Home’s annual Strawberry Festival. Volunteers are needed 1:30-4 p.m. to help scoop individual servings of strawberries onto pound cake slices and topping with whipped cream. Minimum age 14 with adult. Greet visitors during gallery hours and provide information about the featured artist(s) and Nazareth Center for the Arts. Shifts are 2-4 hours between noon and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. You are welcome to bring your art, craft, or practice your instrument during your gallery hours. Minimum age 17 with adult. Assist in lobbies, inpatient nursing, emergency department, OR waiting rooms or hospice by spending time socializing, providing comfort items, and assist staff with various supportive duties at all Lehigh Valley locations for St. Luke’s University Health Network, where volunteers are greatly appreciated and a valued member of our team! YLEAD is a leadership and service program for Lehigh Valley high school students (entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall) hosted by Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Participants in the program develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects.
