Mary P. (Smith) Metzker, 92, of Macungie, died peacefully May 22, 2022, in her home. She was the wife of the late Deacon Daniel F. Metzker. Born in Birdsboro, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Elizabeth J. (Lynch) Smith.
She was employed as an executive secretary for the former Stanley Home Products.
Active in the life of her church, she was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, where she was the organist for 48 years, taught C.C.D. and was a member of the Women’s Guild.
She enjoyed working with stained glass and oil painting.
She is survived by children, David W., of Raleigh, N.C., Dr. Mary C. Rutkowski, of Center Valley, Eric L. and his wife, Carol, of West Chester, Mark E., of Kingston; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by children, Daniel, Suzanne, Ann Marie and siblings, Eleanor, Kathleen, George, James, William, Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. May 27 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. May 27 in the church.
