Cedar Crest College

New career-focused online courses added

Cedar Crest College has announced the addition of seven new, career-focused online programs. The new offerings include minors, certificates and concentrations available through a partnership with Rize Education and the Lower Cost Models for Independent Colleges Consortium.

LCMC provides online access to courses that have been developed in conjunction with faculty experts at leading academic institutions, including Harvard and Duke University, and with key industry partners, such as Google. The Consortium incorporates over 120 participating institutions.

The new programs include Certified Financial Planning: Concentration (Accounting and Business Administration majors only) and Stand-Alone Post-Bachelor’s Certificate; Computer Science: minor (open to all); Cybersecurity: minor (open to all) and Concentration (Business Administration and Criminal Justice majors only); Data Analytics: minor (open to all) and Concentration (Business Administration and Criminal Justice majors only); Digital Marketing: minor (open to all) and Concentration (Business Administration and Media Studies majors only); Project Management: Concentration (Accounting and Business Administration majors only) and Stand-Alone Post-Secondary Certificate; and Web Design: minor (open to all) and Concentration (Business Administration and Media Studies majors only).

Muhlenberg College

New scholarships available for graduate students

Muhlenberg College School of Graduate Studies announced the formation of the new Mules Advantage Graduate Scholarship and Dean’s Graduate Scholarship. These scholarships represent Muhlenberg’s first such initiatives for students pursuing graduate degrees at the college.

The Mules Advantage Scholarship, equivalent to 15 percent of the total cost of each program, is open to all Muhlenberg alumni and is applied to each course. It is available to students enrolling in the Master’s in Applied Analytics or the Master’s in Organizational Leadership degree programs.

The Dean’s Graduate Scholarship is awarded to up to six students each semester based on a combination of undergraduate academic performance, career or extracurricular achievements or need. Those chosen will receive $500 per semester in tuition assistance.
