Rebecca Shirley Nonnemaker, of Lower Macungie Township, died May 11, 2022.

Born Oct. 18, 1929, she was the wife of William H. Nonnemaker who died in July 2020. The couple were married 71 years.

She was the daughter of the late Arlene (Stull) and William Robley Smith.

A 1947 graduate of Allentown High School, she attended Allentown Business School in 1974, and worked part time for Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township for 25 years before retiring in 1999.

Her favorite pastimes were reading, doing puzzles and attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sports and horse events with her husband. Her survivors include sons Michael and wife Jean, David and wife Patricia, and Timothy; daughter JoAnn Markowicz and husband Peter; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her services will be at 11 a.m. May 20 at Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Cedar Church Cemetery.
