Rebecca Shirley (Smith) Nonnemaker, 92, died May 11, 2022. She was the wife of the late William H. Nonnemaker who died July 2020. They were married for 71 years. She was the daughter of the late Arlene (Stull) and William Robley Smith.

She was a 1947 graduate of Allentown High School and attended Allentown Business School in 1974.

She worked part-time for Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest for 25 years, retiring in 1999.

Her favorite pastimes were reading, doing puzzles and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sports and horse events with her husband.

She is survived by sons, Michael and his wife, Jean, David and his wife, Patricia, Timothy; a daughter, Joann and her husband, Peter Markowicz; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. May 20 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road. Call 10 a.m. until time of service.
