Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be hosting a movie event 12:30 p.m. May 24.

The movie “London Has Fallen” is a 2016 American action thriller film starring Gerald Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman.

Call ahead to reserve lunch for 11:30 a.m. before the movie.

The movie is free, and refreshments will be available for a donation.

The date for the Whitehall Active Community Center’s bingo has been changed to May 29.

Doors open 1 p.m., and the games will begin 2 p.m.

There will be refreshments for sale and a free gift to celebrate Memorial Day. There will be door prizes, tricky trays, a piggy number, 50/25/25 raffle, etc. The coverall jackpot is $100.

Fullerton American Legion Post 367 will be having Memorial Day services 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. May 30 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Poppies will be available at Redner’s in Whitehall May 27; at Walmart in Whitehall May 28; and at Fullerton American Legion Post 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., May 30.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having a chicken takeout dinner June 11.

Pickup is 3-5 p.m. in Fox Hall.

The menu consists of chicken Marsala, roasted red bliss potatoes, green beans, rolls and butter.

Payment is due with orders by June 5.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be holding Vacation Bible School June 20-24.

The theme is “Monumental,” and daily adventures start 8:45 a.m. and end noon each day.
