District News: Club seeks puzzles, books for donation
Whitehall High School Book Club is running a book drive now through June 3, benefiting Cedarbrook Nursing Home and Allentown Rescue Mission. The club is looking for large-print crossword puzzles and adult coloring books for Cedarbrook and used children’s books for Allentown Rescue.
A box for donations will be outside room G104 at the high school.

WHS holds its Mini-THON event, including music, games, bounce houses, activities, food and more, 1:15-7 p.m. May 20.
Students should check their Track Time Google Classroom for instructions on how to sign up for a donor drive. All dancers at Mini-THON must raise a minimum of $35 in pledges. The dance is to raise funds to help fight childhood cancer.

Whitehall-Coplay School District will be closed May 30 for the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be a kindergarten program for parents at Gockley Elementary School June 2 and 3.

The WHS Class of 1972 is planning its 50th reunion June 4-6.
Festivities will begin 2 p.m. June 4 with a guided tour of the school and campus. Afterward, there will be a happy hour 5-6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and socializing, at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St.
There will also be a brunch 11 a.m.-3 p.m. June 5 at Green Pond Country Club, 3604 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem.
Members are encouraged to attend the WHS commencement June 6 at PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St., Allentown.
