David H. Kuhns, 61, of Whitehall, died May 13, 2022, at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Geraldine “Gerri” Dorney-Kuhns for 21 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Warren and Anna E. (Cook) Kocher.

He worked in sales and deliveries for Kleckner and Sons Appliances for many years.

He proudly served for more than 20 years in the Army National Guard.

He was a member of Fullerton Fire Company No. 1.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amber Dorney; a son, Christopher Sweeney; a grandson, Xavier Santiago; a great granddaughter, Ivy; a sister, Joanne Sommer; three brothers, Michael and wife Cathy, Daniel and wife Patricia and Donald and wife Yvette; nieces; nephews; and extended family.

He was predeceased by a sister, Diane Stein; a brother, Norman Kuhns; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Sommer.

There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., May 19 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall.
