PLANTING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Northampton County Division of Parks & Recreation is seeking volunteers to assist in planting over 1,000 native plant plugs in several turf island trail intersections on the west side of Louise Moore County Park.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. May 14 in the west side parking lot at Louise Moore Park, 151 Country Club Road, Easton, PA.

Wildlands Conservancy will provide gloves & garden spades, but participants are welcome to bring their own hand tools.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY 2022 HOUSEHOLD DOCUMENT SHREDDING EVENTS, first come, first served. 10 a.m. to noon, June 4, Department of Human Services building, 2801 Emrick Blvd. Please do not arrive before 10 a.m. to avoid causing traffic problems. Residents are limited to three boxes or bags per vehicle with a twenty-five pound weight limit per box or bag. Accepted items include accounting records, cancelled checks, pay stubs, financial statements, investment transactions, legal documents, medical records, tax forms, etc. Staples, paper clips, rubber bands and folders are okay. Unacceptable materials include junk mail, magazines, catalogs, photographs, negatives and X-rays. Ring binders, metal strips and plastic sheet protectors or coverings will be refused.

2023 HOTEL TAX GRANTS APPLICATIONS are open now through June 10 with the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development.

Applicants must either be a federally registered non-profit entity, 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4), or a municipal entity located within Northampton County. Eligible tourism and/or community development programs in the county projects and must be completed in the calendar year 2023. REAL ESTATE TAX PAYMENT OPTIONS (Bethlehem Township Northampton County) :

Pay directly at municipal office, by mail or drop box (in front of municipal office main entrance), Online Bill Pay Service for Real Estate Tax Bills: links provided on the www.bethlehemtownship.org site, payment section. No fee for EFT payments via checking/savings accounts. Cost for credit card payments. The online option is on a “Pay Now” basis. No registration necessary.

REAL ESTATE TAX BILLS: payable to Bethlehem Township. All billings are sent to the property owner. Discount, Base and Penalty Due dates and amounts are on the bills. Unpaid bills are sent for delinquent tax collection as of January 1 each year. Tax bills are mailed out by February 1 each calendar year.
