Students who would like to get a head start on their college education can have the option to sign up for three different summer sessions at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC).
Two five-week sessions and one 10-week session are open to continuing and new LCCC students.
Many students use the credits they earn in the summer to get ahead in their degree program, get a head start or use them to transfer to a university.
Students may sign up now for any of the following summer sessions:
· First five-week option: May 16 - June 22
· 10-week option: May 16 - Aug. 4
· Second five-week option: July 5 - Aug. 10
Classes are offered online and face-to-face at campuses in Schnecksville, Allentown and Tamaqua.
Students can take courses in art, accounting, astronomy, nursing, biology, anatomy and physiology, business, chemistry, computers, criminal justice, economics, education, English, languages, geography, history, math, music, philosophy, physics, psychology, sociology and more.
Tuition and fees are $180 per credit for students from one of LCCC’s sponsoring school districts and $321 per credit for other Pennsylvania residents.
Schuylkill County residents pay $255 a credit.
Out-of-state or foreign students pay $462 a credit.
Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.
New students can apply for admission online at: www.lccc.edu.
Those seeking a degree must complete a placement test, or meet requirements for exemption, and meet with an advisor before registering for classes.
Students can pay online or in person at the Business Office in Schnecksville and at sites in Tamaqua and Allentown.
