William M. “Bill” Herishko, 81, of Allentown, died May 6, 2022, in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Griffith) Herishko, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on May 29, 2021.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Rose (DeFiore) Herishko.
A 1958 graduate of Allen High School, Allentown, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Kutztown State College in 1962.
He was a research chemist for 20 years for the former Allentown Paint, later working for Atlas Minerals, Mertztown, for 16 years, and then part time for the former Benchmark Analytical, Allentown, for nine years until retiring.
A dedicated father, he was proud of his daughters, Joanne and Jenn, and adored his grandkids, Stephanie and Ethan.
He loved watching his beloved Red Sox and Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed league bowling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Joanne G. Herishko of Harleysville, and Jennifer A. (James C.) Morykin of Pen Argyl; grandchildren James E. and Stephanie A. Morykin; brother Thomas (Illiana) Herishko of Haddon Township, N.J.
There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. on May 19 in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown.
Pastor Chris Druckenmiller of St. Peter’s Plainfield Lutheran Church will officiate.
