Union Lutheran Church having designer purse bingo on May 22

Union Lutheran Church, along Route 873, Schnecksville, will present designer purse bingo May 22 in the Family Life Center.

Doors open at noon. Bingo starts 1 p.m.

There will be 20 games of bingo. The winner of each game will receive a purse from designers such as Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Vera Bradley.

There will be five additional games for a chance to win a super special bag each time.

Also included during the afternoon is a 50/50 raffle for cash prizes.

The first 100 people to reserve a spot will be entered into a drawing for a Zip Coach wallet.

The kitchen will open at noon with a variety of lunch items plus a bake sale.

Proceeds will benefit the future building maintenance fund to replace a HVAC unit, to reseal and re-stripe the parking lot, to transition to LED lights, and to replace the sound system.

The Auxiliary of Northern Valley EMS, NOVA, will have a bake sale and sandwich fundraiser on Election Day, May 17.

There will be cherry, blueberry, peach and shoofly pies, plus sticky buns and homemade bread.

Ham and cheese sandwiches will be available for takeout.

NOVA Auxiliary will have a basket social in the hall at 2375 Levans Road 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 21.

Chances for theme baskets will be sold as 26 tickets.

Lunch and baked goods will be available.

The United Church of Christ denomination is offering support to the people in Ukraine and those who fled as refugees through humanitarian relief partners who have a history of working in the region.

The newsletter from St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, includes a message on the UCC Ukraine Relief Fund.
