The April 27 Alburtis Borough Council Meeting was a short meeting, as Council President Ron DeIaco and Mayor Kathleen Palmer were not in attendance.
Plus, there was not much on the agenda for the night.
The council quickly moved through the initial topics. There was no public comment or mayoral report. The meeting minutes of April 13, the bills for payment and the fiscal consultant’s report were read and approved.
In administration, speed humps were proposed to assist with damage on West Penn Avenue. The motion was not carried and the item was not passed. Additionally, it was noted there was portable toilet damage at the playground.
A security system update was proposed to be done by TWG. This was to fix security cameras at the Alburtis Borough building. This was approved without much discussion.
Resolution No. 2022-6 was next, which was the appointment of the borough council second vice president. Hector Moss was nominated and appointed to the position.
Next, a dividend check of $10,209.70 was provided to the borough through MRM Trust.
The last item on the agenda was a motion to proceed with the Borough of Alburtis Employee Safety Manual.
The meeting was then adjourned.
The next borough meeting will take place 7 p.m. May 11. The meetings occur at Alburtis Borough Hall, 260 Franklin St.
