Kindergarten registration open for the 2022-2023 school year

The days of this school year are quickly racing toward summer break now. There are many events and fun days left in this year for our students to enjoy.
The Salisbury Township School District continues to hold kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year. Students must be 5 years old by Aug. 30. Call 610-791-2800 to schedule an appointment.
May 12 will be an early dismissal for all township schools. Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. while Salisbury Elementary School will dismiss 1:15 p.m.
May 13 will be field day for SES students in grades three and four. The SES walk-a-thon will be held May 16.
SHS students will begin Keystone testing the week of May 16. If your student is scheduled to take them, have them refer to their testing schedules. If they are not taking them, remember they will have a delayed start with transportation modified accordingly.
The next school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. May 11 at the administration building.
The SMS and SHS cheerleaders will hold a car wash 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 15 at the high school. There is a cost per car.
Boys basketball will hold open gyms starting 3-5 p.m. May 9 and 5-7 p.m. Wednesdays through the end of the school year. This is open to anyone who wants to play basketball in grades 8-12. Students at SMS needing transportation to the high school can take Bus 9 to the school. For questions, contact Coach Weaver at jcweaves@gmail.com.
Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon June 4 at SHS. The drop off location will be the high school auxiliary gym entrance. The truck will pick up donations between noon and 1 p.m. For more information, visit www.clothingdrive.net. Use this chance to clear our those closets while helping Salisbury athletics.
The Devonshire drop-off site will be open May 12 and 14, while the Franko Farm drop off center will be open May 16, 19 and 21.
Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown will hold a bingo 2 p.m. May 15. Doors open 1:30 p.m. The kitchen will be open to purchase hot dogs, hamburger barbecue, chips, beverages and cupcakes. For more information, call Louise at 484-456-1148.
Interested in learning about Cub Scouting? Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can learn about Scouting and enjoy a discounted game of mini golf 4-7 p.m. May 11 at Putt U Miniature Golf, 5201 Route 309, Center Valley. The rain date is May 18.
If unable to attend the mini golf event, interested parents can find out more about Cub Scouting with Pack 146 which meets weekly 7-8:15 p.m. Thursdays at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1707 Church Road, Allentown. Stop in and find out what Cub Scouting is all about. Scouting is open for all youth in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
