“Compendium: Ex Libris,” a juried exhibition in the Crayola Gallery, Banana Factory, celebrated 100 years of books, dating to 1922, considered a golden year of book publishing and the beginning of modern literature.
Entries drew on inspiration from a book, play, poem, short story, essay or graphic novel published between 1922 and 2022.
Forty works submitted by 30 Lehigh Valley artists were accepted for the exhibit, which concluded March 6 with a ”First Friday” reception and awards ceremony.
Jurors were Bethlehem Area Public Library Executive Director Josh Berk and Lehigh University Art Galleries Coordinator of Museum Experience and Access Elise Schaffer.
