Congratulations to the Salisbury High School Twirlers! They competed April 30 in Wildwood, N.J. and won the Tournament Indoor Association Open Championship! Woo Hoo! Great job Falcons!
The SHS Class of 2024 is holding a hoagie fundraiser. Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef and tuna hoagies are from Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.
To order, contact Mrs. Basile at mbasile@salisbury.org or a student in the Class of 2024. Orders must be received and paid for by May 11 and delivery is May 19 at the high school.
The end of the school year is fast approaching and there are lots of things going on.
First, after a tough two weeks of Pennsylvania System of School Assessment testing, Salisbury Elementary School will have a PJ and Movie day May 9. On May 11, field day will be held for kindergarten through second grade.
On May 13, field day will be held for grades three and four and the SES end-of-year walk-a-thon will be May 16.
The next two T-shirt days at SES are May 6 and 20.
May 12 is an early dismissal day for Salisbury Township Schools. The high school and middle school dismiss 12:15 p.m. and SES will dismiss 1:15 p.m.
SHS will begin Keystone testing the week of May 16.
A school board work session meeting will be held in the board boom of the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road, Allentown, 7 p.m. May 4.
The next school board meeting will be 7:30 p.m. May 11 at the administration building.
Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The Franko Farm site will be open May 5, 7 and 16. The Devonshire site will be open May 9, 12 and 14.
