The annual Parkland Education Foundation auction is live online through 9 p.m. May 6.

Items include graduation suite tickets, retro Parkland sports jerseys, a one-year reserved PHS parking space, Parkland athletic tickets, PHS student art, gift cards, Eagles, IronPigs, Velodrome and Dorney Park tickets and a whole lot more. Thank you to all of the Parkland school staff and superintendent cabinet for donating fun-themed baskets and to the many businesses and donors who supported this amazing auction.

All money raised goes directly back to supporting Parkland students, staff and community via Celebrate Innovation grants.

Clean out your closets and drop off your old clothing, shoes, linens and stuffed animals at the Parkland High School Music Boosters Shoe and Clothing Drive 9 a.m. to noon May 7 to support Parkland Music programs.

Items being accepted include clothing, shoes, clothing accessories, household linens, small toys (2 feet or less), stuffed animals, bikes/scooters, car seats with base and strollers.

They will not accept: sports equipment, board games, books, puzzles, pots and pans, electrical devices, glass, large toys, high chairs, baby cribs, VCR tapes, furniture, or outdoor play sets.

Items must be bagged.

If possible, bag shoes separately.

Parkland’s Equity, Inclusion and Belonging forum will take place 8:30-10 a.m. May 10 in the administration center board room, 1210 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall.

Parkland’s leadership team will give an update on this year’s initiatives and there will be a panelist discussion about the inclusion of students with special needs in regular education classrooms and activities.

The Parkland Walk-A-Thon for Premature Babies will occur 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14.

This event is open to Parkland families and friends.

Walkers need to register in advance in order to participate in the event and to enter the PHS stadium.
