Roughies Report: LCTI schedules senior recognition night for May 31 at PPL

Get ready, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute Class of 2022, senior recognition night is around the corner!

LCTI has announced its event in celebration of the Class of 2022 and its students’ accomplishments will be held May 31 at PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Doors open 5:30 p.m., and the ceremony will begin 6:30 p.m.

All LCTI seniors and their family members and friends are invited to attend. Seniors do not need tickets, but family members and friends do. LCTI teachers will be distributing tickets to all seniors.

This will be LCTI’s first in-person senior recognition night since 2019; due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 ceremonies were virtual events.

Catasauqua Area School District is looking to hire Catasauqua High School students to work five hours a day, four days a week (Mondays through Thursdays) through the summer months for $10 per hour for the building and grounds department. Application packets are still available in the school’s main office.

Interviews will be held during regular school hours.

Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley is hosting two youth leadership empowerment achievement development camps this summer for high school students in the Lehigh Valley.

Participants will develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects.

The camp is being offered two weeks this year - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 11-15 and July 25-29. Both camp sessions will be held at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem.

The cost is $100 per session, and the application deadline is June 25.

Are you interested in working part time and over the summer? If so, Camp Trucking might be the job for you!

Camp Trucking is looking for junior and senior students who have the ability to commute to Bath to work at its local warehouse.

The work includes the manual labor of loading and unloading baggage for individuals who are attending or returning from local summer camps. The job pays approximately $135 per day.
