Robert “Ben” E. Proctor, 87, of Hanover, died April 30, 2022, at Restore Healthcare, Shippensburg. He was the husband of Barbara M. (Oswald) Proctor for 60 years.
Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Ralph F. and Hazel M. (Bates) Proctor.
He was in the Army Reserves during the 1950s.
He worked in the unloading station in the quarry at Lafarge Cement Company, Whitehall, for 29 years until he retired in 1997.
He was a longtime member and a deacon of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.
He held a life membership with Fullerton Fire Company, Whitehall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Robin A. and her husband James Culp of Hanover; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Buffy Proctor; and two sisters, Annabelle Ure and Betty Lou Wagner.
There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., May 5 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
