Ironton Rail Trail Commission is hosting two run events. Both events start at Coplay Parkway, 245 N. Second St.

The Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation is sponsoring a 5-K run May 7, and the Mother’s Day Run for the Roses half-marathon, 10-K and 5-K will be May 8.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is holding its two final Kerygma program examinations of the Ten Commandments. The meetings are 6:30 p.m. May 15 and 29, with a small meal followed by the discussion.

Also, St. John’s Lutheran Church is holding a pickup barbecue chicken dinner, set for 4-5:30 p.m. May 21.

Street sweeping in the borough is scheduled for May 19 and 20. All vehicles must be removed from the streets on sweeping days. Watch for the no-parking signs on your street on sweeping days.

Coplay American Legion Post 426, 134 S. Second St., is planning its annual Memorial Day services. The tentative date is May 29.

Additionally, Coplay American Legion has a special mailbox in front of the Post. Old, worn-out flags can be deposited into the mailbox for proper disposal.

Coplay yard waste pickup is ongoing.

Grass will no longer be picked up. There is a drop-off location at 1 Bridge St.

Drop-off hours are 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
