Bath: Petersville club to celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will be hosting Cinco de Mayo 5 p.m. May 7 under the pavilion.

It is open to the public.

There will be beer, sangria and margarita specials as well as authentic Mexican food.

Bring a chair and enjoy good music, great food, good company and spirits. The deejay will be K4RL.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, will be having a flea market, bake sale, antique and craft event 8 a.m.-noon May 7 in the pavilion.

Vendors are needed.

During the month of May, Emmanuel’s Church will help the Bath Area Food Bank by collecting peanut butter, shampoo and soap.

There is also an ongoing need for ramen noodles.

The group is no longer accepting Jell-O or pudding.

Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.

The Bath Area Food Bank distributes food 9:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month.

The next distribution is May 10 in the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.

Time to clean out those basements and attics. The borough of Bath will be having a spring community yard sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. May 14.
