Anita D. (Silberman) Gopen, 50, of Lower Macungie Township, died April 30, 2022, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Eric A. Gopen to whom she was married for 23 years. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, she was the daughter of Christine (Hancock) Silberman, of Nebraska and the late Irvin Silberman.
She earned a master’s degree in education from Lehigh University.
She worked as a librarian in the Western Salisbury School District for 10 years.
She was a member of the Beit Simcha Messianic Fellowship Synagogue, Orefield.
She is survived by her husband; mother; sons, Elias D. and Daniel J., both at home; sisters, Julia and her husband, Jack Roelofse, of South Africa; Jennifer and her husband, Wayne Robinson, of Kansas; parents-in-law, Paulette and Arnold, of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Holly Beth, of Long Island.
