Happiness sails on a sunny day

and floats on beams of light

A smoothly seafaring boat

Gliding along the water

Like a seagull skimming the sea

Sadness descends as a storm

Sinking ships to the bottom of the ocean

And weighs like an anchor

On a gloomy, dim day

Its treacherous waters

Pulling down boats

to the cold, dark depths

where happiness is trapped

at the deepest, lowest point

while the storm rages on above

unable to locate the surface

But the storm does blow away

revealing warmth and light

that has always been there

The ship resurfaces

And smoothly sails into the sun
