Emmaus High School Mud Club partners with Angel Network for annual event to help those in need

Recently, the Emmaus High School Mud Club, which creates and donates handmade stoneware bowls for the event, sponsored Empty Bowls 2022.

All proceeds from this year’s event benefitted the East Penn School District’s Angel Network food program. As stated on the Emmaus High School webpage, in order to help all students succeed, one of the Angel Network’s goals is to “provide basic assistance to students in need on an immediate, short term basis.”

For a donation, each participant chose a favorite from a large selection of bowls. Local businesses and individuals provided a variety of complimentary soups, as well as bread and drinks.

Attendees appreciated the artistry of the bowls and enjoyed a meal shared with friends and neighbors. The bowls were theirs to keep as a reminder that everyone can play a part in the fight against hunger.
