Willy deFretes, 73, of Breinigsville, died peacefully at home April 20, 2022. He was the husband of Valerie deFretes. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he was a son of the late Lucas deFretes and Eliseba Kim Nio, Oey.

He traveled around the world, serving on cruise ships before immigrating to America in 1976 to marry his wife, Valerie.

He worked in various fine dining restaurants in the Lehigh Valley and West Chester. He was a hard worker and loved pleasing his customers, but his greatest pleasure in life was his family.

He loved to cook family dinners, have get-togethers and beach vacations. He will be remembered by the beautiful smile he had for everyone.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Elizabeth Moyzan (Stephen) and Julianna (partner, Marshall Gould Jr.); grandchildren Darian, Alaina and Olivia; sisters, Itje, Ponny and Lucie, of Indonesia. He was predeceased by a brother, Freddy.
