Virginia “Ginny” D. Wingard, 80, of Luther Crest Senior Living Community, Allentown, died April 21, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Larry A. Wingard. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late R. Emmett Maher and Dorothy (Helmer) Maher Lederer.
Before retiring, she worked 40 years in various positions of software development/systems analysis and computer programming.
She was one of the first female engineering students at the University of Rochester and later became one of the first female vice presidents at Chase Manhattan Bank. In her later years, she worked for the NFL, helping launch their statistics system.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Breinigsville, where she was very active with church activities and the NEPA Synod.
She was dedicated to service and helping others in the community with Meals on Wheels and as a former member of the Rotary Club, Emmaus.
She is survived by a son, Don Milley and his wife, Kristin, of Elkins Park; stepsons, Darryl and his wife, Monica, Eric and his wife, Lisa; a stepdaughter, Lauranne; grandchildren, Catherine “Cate” and Jack Milley; a step-grandson, Malcolm.

Services will be held 11 a.m. April 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 8227 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville. Calling will begin 10 a.m. Arrangements were made by the Trexler Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
