St. John’s UCC collecting clothing, miscellaneous items

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, is collecting clothes, shoes, accessories, fabric, household items, and toys now through May 29.

Here is a solution for things people have in their closets and around the house but no longer need or use.

Clothing for men, women and children for all seasons will be welcomed.

Accessories such as purses, hats, briefcases, backpacks and baby items will be accepted.

Blankets, sheets, pillows, curtains, bedspreads, towels, quilts and comforters will be appreciated.

Stuffed animals, dolls, beanie babies, action figures, toy cars, trucks and airplanes are also being collected.

Donations must be placed in a well-tied plastic bag or garbage bag and taken to the church.

Youth will be leading the worship service at Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, 9 a.m. May 1.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, has planned a Moms and Muffins event 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. May 8,

Children are invited to bring their mother or any other family member to Fellowship Hall for a morning of learning, crafts, fun and muffins to enjoy.

Volunteers at Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, were glad to have a chance to reinstate all-you-can-eat breakfasts once again after time off for the pandemic.

The last breakfast for this season was in April.

Watch for notification of the next breakfast in September.
