Project Happiness LSMO spreads kindness while connecting the community.
Troop leader, Loribeth Knauss, heard about the Lee’s Summit, MO., project on the local news and decided to help their cause by having her Troop make kindness signs.
Knauss contacted the owner of Project Happiness LSMO, Jennifer Hunsinger, and gathered information on how to construct the signs with her Troop.
The yard signs were created in an effort to help make the world a better place for all people through messages of kindness, encouragement and hope.
The girls of Troop 650 used some of their cookie profits to purchase the materials and created about 50 signs to post in friends and families’ yards.
The signs did not go unnoticed.
On Easter morning, Kaylynn and Clara Knauss received an anonymous card in the mail, thanking them for writing the kind messages.
The owners’ pets, Maggie and Baily, signed the card.
“We were so surprised to receive such a kind message in return. The signs truly work. It really brightened up our Easter day,” Knauss said.
