April 30 is the deadline for the donation promotion for the 2022 U.S. Senior Open, to be held June 23-26 at Saucon Valley Country Club, Bethlehem. Reminder: Whitehall-Coplay School District families of incoming kindergarten students are invited to a preview night, set for 4-5:30 p.m. April 28 at Gockley Elementary School, 2932 Zephyr Blvd., Whitehall.

The event, open-house style, will feature opportunities to tour the building and meet staff and special visitors. Families will also receive surprises for incoming students and be able to purchase spirit wear.

WCSD’s family night, to highlight the cultural diversity of staff, students and families, is set for May 4.

The elementary schools will be raising money to buy books for Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Books will be purchased during the upcoming Scholastic book fair May 5. Scholastic will match monetary donations and donate books to children in need through organizations such as National Centers for Families Learning.

Gockley Elementary will hold its open house 6-8:30 p.m. May 5.
