Frances E. Gestl, 89, of Bethlehem, died April 17, 2022. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Kostelnik) Ender. She was the wife of Russell R. Gestl for 67 years.

She started life on the family farm in Hellertown.

She started school in a one room schoolhouse. She attended Holy Ghost grade school and Allentown Central Catholic HS.

She was employed at Bethlehem SteelCorp.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Russell and his wife Gail, John and his wife Coleen, Joseph and his wife Sandra, Mary Agnes “Meg” Todd and her husband Frank, Regina “Gigi” Gestl and Robin Garcia and her husband Ivo; 14 grandchildren, Derek Gestl, Amanda Gestl (Alec Jenkins), Jessica Gestl, Cristine Gosch (Donnie), John Russell Gestl, Paul Gestl, Alia Gestl, Michele Todd, Andrew Todd (Genova), Colette Todd, Aijah Garcia, Atticus Garcia, Brianna Garcia and Justin Garcia; and great-grandchildren Harleigh and Jude Gosch, Stella and Beau Todd, Jamison and Leighanna Todd, and Brader Jenkins.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Ender; and a sister, Catherine Lucente.
