Volunteer opportunities
America On Wheels, Allentown, is seeking volunteers for their educational task force committee. They begin May 4 and meetings will be via Zoom for 60 minutes for six months. This is to align educational programs and develop transition plans from elementary, to middle, high and college or technical school. The minimum age to volunteer is 21. Have fun doing crafts or playing games and help to keep the kids with special needs stay safe at our exciting summer camp at Camelot for Children in Allentown. Volunteer for one day or as often as you can 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday June 20 through July 29. Teen buddies, adults and medical personnel are needed. Individuals with skills in marketing, finance, governance and social media, as well as those who have access to grants through their companies or other philanthropic groups are encouraged to join the board of directors at Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley. Time commitments include attendance at monthly board meetings (currently remote) September through June and some committee work in between. The minimum age to volunteer is 25.
