Motorist killed due to two-car crash

A motorist was fatally injured in a two-car crash in the 1200 block of South 24th Street 11:07 a.m. April 12, according to Salisbury police.

James Davis, 65, of Allentown, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, according to a media release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center.

An autopsy revealed Davis died from blunt force injuries of his torso sustained in the crash. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

A Cetronia Ambulance Corps crew transported Davis to the hospital.

The 73-year-old female driver of the other vehicle also was hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital, according to Salisbury police.

Crews from the Eastern Salisbury Fire Department, Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company and Lower Macungie Fire Department also responded.
