Luther L. Harris Jr., 74, of South Whitehall Township, died April 15, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the son of the late Luther L. Sr. and Ruth E. (Steinson) Harris.

He was a life member of the Salvation Army and in his earlier years, he was a volunteer.

Before retiring, he worked as an injection operator at Amcor, Fogelsville since 1999 and prior as a truck driver for Zollinger-Harned, Allentown for 11 years.

He will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman in Pennsylvania and Florida. He was a lifetime member of the Isaac Walton Rod and Gun Club, Allentown as well as a volunteer at the Northampton County Junior Conservation School.

He is survived by a brother, Larry C. and his wife, Janet; a sister Linda M., all of Slatington; nephews, Charles (Jessica), of Macungie, Stephen (Stacy) Farnack, of Myerstown, Eric Keeler, of Slatington, William “George” (Jean) Mann, of Germany and a niece Dawn (Jeff) Vich, of Maryland. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth E. Mann.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. April 22 at Arlington Memorial Park, 3843 Lehigh St., Whitehall.
